The stations

1

Welcome to the Minting Experience Center

Start your experience at the Welcome Desk. There you will receive a blank from Royal Blanking International - a copper-nickel alloy with a diameter of 38.4 mm and a thickness of 2.75 mm. The edge is already slightly upset and awaits the next steps.

2

Knurling machine from Schuler Pressen GmbH - embossing the edge

The journey of your medal begins with the embossing of the edge. On the Schuler machine, the #theplacetobe motif is embossed onto the edge - a unique touch that makes your medal unmistakable.

3

Cleaning on the Spaleck Oberflächentechnik GmbH machine

In the next step, your medal is carefully cleaned in the Spaleck machine to create a perfect basis for the subsequent embossing and printing processes.

4

Embossing at Sack & Kiesselbach Maschinenfabrik GmbH

Now it's time for the heart of the production process: your medal is embossed on both sides with a force of 185 tonnes. This experience is the highlight of the Minting Experience Center and transforms the blank into a real collector's medal.

5

Pad printing by Teca-Print AG - color for the special detail

Now color comes into play: A striking detail in red is applied to your medal using the pad printing process, giving it a further individual accent.

6

Laser engraving by Acsys Lasertechnik GmbH

Finally, your medal is given a personal touch - a 4-digit serial number, laser-engraved on a laser from Acsys Lasertechnik GmbH. This makes each medal a unique limited edition.
