The Minting Experience Center (MEC) opens its doors and invites you not only to observe but to actively participate in the creation of a medal. On 100 square meters, you will find an interactive area with seven exciting stations – from the blank to the finished collector’s piece.
Here, your very own World Money Fair collector’s medal is created by this year‘s Guest of Honor, Tower Mint London and artistically realized by the renowned mint B.H. Mayer, which also produced the dies. A true one-of-a-kind piece that you will accompany step by step!

Welcome to the Minting Experience Center

Your journey begins at the Welcome Desk. Here you
receive your blank – a high-quality copper-nickel planchet (38.4 mm, 2.75 mm). The edge has already been preformed and is ready for the first production step.

Now it gets technical: The Andritz Schuler edging machine imprints the message #theplacetobe onto the edge of your medal. This detail makes every piece a truly unique souvenir.

To ensure your medal is perfectly prepared, it undergoes thorough cleaning in the systems from Spaleck – an essential step for a flawless minting result.

Access Only with Valid Admission Authorization. To ensure a high-quality and smooth experience, access to the Minting Experience Center will be controlled and limited this year. You have the following options to participate:
1. Entry with Passport
When purchasing a Passport, you receive onetime entry including one medal.
2. Participation in the CH2 Rallye
Collect all Conference Hall 2 (CH2) stamps on the stamp card integrated in the
hall plan.
Fully completed = free entry and one medal.
3. Purchase of a single entry directly at the MEC
A single admission ticket can be purchased on site for €5.00.
